The Finals of the 2022 World Cup tournament was on Sunday evening decided at Lusail Stadium , the biggest stadium in Qatar.
The match as expected was entertaining,a potpourri of dribbling,rare goal netting by titans and captains of the teams, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.
Though Messi picked the trophy which is a retirement package for him, the performance of Mbappe holds that he is the GOAT of the future. His steering his team to second place was a big feat, not a disgrace.
Mbappe made his team to come back in the second half, scoring a hatrrick, the second footballer to do so in a World Cup final. He scored three goals including a penalty creating an equalizer with Argentina at extra time to launch a space for penalty kicks.
However, the penalty kicks of Aurelien Tchouameni and Kingsley Goman saved by Argentine goalkeeper,Emi Martinez and the final score by Gonzalo Montiel gave the trophy to the Argentines.
Despite the loss,Mbappe was honoured with the golden boots and football analysts commend him for his brilliant performance.According to them,” He is the hero and future GOAT.
