Former Director General of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council,Dr Doyin Okupe has been arrested by operatives of the Department of State Service ( DSS,).

A statement by DSS on Thursday said the agency arrested him at the Lagos International Airport on Thursday morning on his way to London.
The service said the arrest was at the instance of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC).
“Doyin Okupe was intercepted by the DSS at Terminal 1 of Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos this morning at the instance of the EFCC.
“He has long been handed over to the commisson which requested for the action.
Okupe was billed to fly to London via Virgin Atlantic”, the statement signed by Spokesman of DSS, Peter Afunanya, said.
Recall that Okupe was convicted by a High Court over alleged money laundering offences and was sentenced to two years jail term but was reported to have secured the payment of N13 million to escape the prescribed jail term.
