President Muhammadu Buhari Thursday directed security operatives to ensure that the bandits who attacked and killed seven personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) are arrested and prosecuted accordingly.
In a statement issued by , Garba Shehu, his media aide the president said he was anguished over the Monday attack on the officers while on duty in Kaduna State.
While Commending the officers for paying the supreme price of saving the country, Buhari described the incident ass tragic and condoled with the family of the deceased officers.
“The NSCDC personnel who braved all challenges to guard our nation and its people had made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, my thoughts are with the bereaved families and their compatriots in the service, May God grant them and the entire service the fortitude to bear the loss.”
Bandits killed seven NSCDC personnel attached to the Kaduna Ministry of Mine on Monday, in an ambush at the Kuriga mining site in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of the State.
