Gunmen have abducted the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau.
The DPO was said to be newly posted to the area and was in his hotel room for assumption of duty at his new station the next day when the gunmen suspected to be bandits opened fire on him and abducted him.
A Police source said “The DPO was just posted to Pankshin about three days ago.
“He was staying in a hotel in Pankshin and was in that hotel when the gunmen came and shot him before taking him away. Since then, we have not seen him.”
