The family of Moshood Abiola, members of the MKO Abiola Mandate group have endorsed the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, Senator Bola Tinubu. They have also endorsed the governor of Lagos State,Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu for a second term in office.
Addressing a press conference Tuesday in Lagos, the eldest son of the family,Olalekan Abiola said they are supporting the APC ar all levels because Tinubu shares the same ideology with their late father.
Also speaking, the Director of Grassroots Mobilisation for the APC, Abdoulbaq Ladi – Balogun thanked the MKO family for endorsing the candidates pointing out that the democracy enjoined in the country today was due to the sacrifice of MKO.
MKO was the presumed winner of the June 12 1993 presidential election which was annulled by the military junta led by Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.
