Governors on the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC are meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa.
The meeting current matters gathered may not be unconnected with the ongoing naira swap resulting in current scarcity of the redesigned Naira notes in banks nationwide.
The governors present at the meeting are, Governor El -Rufai of Kaduna State, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state and Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State.
Others are the governor of Zamfara,Bello Mattawalle, Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi, Yobe state governor,Mai Mala Buni. Governor Babajide Sanwo – Olu of Lagos,AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara and Governor Sani Bello of Niger State.
It would be recalled that some progressive governors have spoken against the policy introduced by the CBN at a time so close to the general elections and had urged the CBN to further extend the deadline.
One of them, Governor El -Rufai vehemently rejected the exercise now blaming it on some people around the president who are making things difficult for the APC and its presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to win the election.
