The governor of Ebonyi, the All Progressives Congress APC and the people are praising God for the victory of the party at March 18 gubernatorial and House of Assembly polls.
A few hours ago, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly and gubernatorial candidate of the APC,Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru was declared winner of the election adjudged to be very competitive and fair.
Nwifuru polled the most votes to defeat his closest rival and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Ifeanyi Odii and that of the Labour party,Prof Bernard Odoh who came a distant third position.
A statement issued by the Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Public Relations,Mr Chooks Oko said that the state government has taken the celebration to God.
The victory team comprising Governor Dave Umahi flanked by his son, Osborne, his deputy, Kelechi Igwe and Joe Ekumankama, Minister of State for Health are at the moment singing praises to God for the victory of the APC at the Ecumenical center,Abakaliki, the state capital..
