On Saturday 25th March 2022, Relations, Friends and professional groups including the Nigerian Guild of Editors ( NGE) took time off to celebrate one of their own,Warisenibo Celestine Miaribo Daminabo Ogolo who clocked 60 .
Ogolo was born on 21 March 1963 in Aba,Abia State to the family of late Warisenibo Loveday Miaribo Daminabo Ogolo and Late Mrs Nelly L. D Ogolo, both of Opobo Town in Opobo Nkoro Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Since his birthday on Tuesday,March 21, congratulatory messages have been pouring in on social media platforms and physical, from his primary constituency, the media and associates.
However, knowing the significance of what a60 years mileage underscores, his Spouse,Ibinabo rallied friends, his professional colleagues and family to gather to give her husband surprise birthday bash that is not only remarkable but memorable as well.
The event slated at the Evergreen Eateries ,Abacha Road in Port Harcourt, the garden city, was well attended with dignitaries from the Media, Civil Service, Judiciary and his Alumni, Uniport Alumni Association.
Highlights of the occasion were cutting of cake goodwill messages, and dance.
In her goodwill message, the Permanent Secretary of the state Ministry of Information Mrs Ibiwari Clapton- Ogolo praised the celebrant for his dedication to duty, his perchant for timely delivery of given assignments and unmitigated humility.
In her remark, Mrs Boma Nwuke, Official of the NGE described Mr Ogolo as a good man, a man distinctively amazing saying though he has discovered his bearing, made contributions and attained the mandatory rest age, he still has a lot to offer society and wished him more accomplishments.
Ogolo was until his retirement, the Director (Research & Publications) in the State Ministry of Information and Communications.
He was Editor and also the immediate past General Manager of the state owned Newspaper, The Tide.
He is happily married to his wife,IB and blessed with children.
