The Kwara state Police Command has arrested a PoS operator identified as Alfa Rafiu for allegedly squandering N280m mistakenly sent to his account.
Current matters gathered that the suspect, a resident of Akuji compound, Abayawo area in Ilorin West Local Government Area of the state has been apprehended by the police in Oja – Oba, Ilorin, Kwara state by the police in company of bank officials.
The suspect reportedly received several bank alerts amounting to N280 million him about two weeks ago, but claimed ignorance of their source. He was said to be on a spending spree purchasing choice properties and sponsoring people to Saudi Arabia to perform the lesser Hajj rather than report to the bank.
