As a mark of gratitude for supporting his candidature and eventual re-election during the National Assembly Supplementary election, April 15, 2023, the member representing Khana/Gokana Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Dumnamene Robinson Dekor has presented his Certificate of Return to Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
Dekor, who polled a total of 18,641votes to defeat his opponents was statutorily handed a Certificate of Return by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja last week.
The elated federal lawmaker who visited Governor Wike at the Government House, Port Harcourt on Thursday, expressed delight at being re-elected saying it would not have been possible without the governor’s explicit support and encouragement.
Dekor-The House Committee Chairman on Host Communities, noted that even when the National Assembly election of February 25, 2023 was declared inconclusive in Khana/Gokana Constituency and rescheduled to April 15, 2023, Governor Wike stood firm and gave him all the support he needed, which culminated in his victory at the supplementary election.
He thanked the governor for the confidence reposed in him and assured that he would endeavour to give quality and adequate representation.
The lawmaker who is a former Deputy Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly and former Commissioner for Works, promised that with God on his side, he would serve his constituents better.
