The Nigerian Labour Congress NLC and Trade Union Congress TUC have suspended their proposed strike action schedule for Wednesday over the removal of Fuel subsidy.
The suspension comes after a meeting of leaders of the unions with representatives of the Federal Government in Abuja on Monday in Abuja.
Earlier,on Monday, A Federal High Court in Abuja restrained the organised Labour from going on strike.
The two unions had a total strike action beginning June 7 if the Federal Government failed to rescind its decision to suspend fuel subsidy removal and revert to old pump price of fuel.
Recall that President Bola Tinubu announced last Monday on inauguration that subsidy is gone. Shortly after the statement, queues surfaced at petrol filling stations while astronomical hike in price of fuel was introduced .
