Governor of Rivers State, Sim Fubara Monday Inaugurated the 10th House of Assembly in the state for the next four years.
The inauguration which was performed at the Assembly complex at Moscow Road, Port Harcourt comprises old and new members.
Returning members include Martins Amaewhule,( Obio Akpor2), Ehie Ogerenye Edison ( Ahoada 2) Azero Opara ( Phalga 3) Linda Stewart ( Okrika ) Solomon Wami ( Phalga 3) Enemi George( Asari Toru),Tonye Smart Adoki ( Phalga 2) Major Jack ( Akuku Toru) and Arnold Davies ( Ogu Bolo).
Some of the new members of the 32- seat Assembly are Justina Imeji, ( Emohua) Chimezie Nwankwo( Etche 2)Ignatius Onwuka ( Etche 1 )Barine Nwako ( Khana1) and Sylvanus Nwankwo ( Omuma )
The lawmakers also elected the member representing Obio Akpor constituency 2 ( Martins Amaewhule as the Speaker.
The deputy is said to be zoned to a member in the Ogoni Speaking areas of Rivers South East while the former Deputy Speaker, Edison is expected to emerge as the new leader of the House.
