Unconfirmed reports indicate that the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria,Godwin Emefiele was arrested by the operatives of the Department of State Services along a border town in Lagos late Friday night.
Although the secret police initially denied the arrest,it has confirmed that Emefiele is iin its custody.

Clearing the air on the arrest,The DSS, in a statement by its Public Relations Officer (PRO), Peter Afunanya, on Saturday, revealed that Emefiele is in its custody.
“The Department of State Services (DSS) hereby confirms that Mr Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is now in its custody for some investigative reasons,” it said.
“The public, particularly the Media, is enjoined to apply utmost caution in the reportage and narratives concerning this.”
However, the DSS statement is silent on the location of arrest.
