….As FG, Labour talks resume.
The National Industrial Court in Abuja, has restated its earlier order restraining the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) from embarking on its planned nationwide strike.
Justice Olufunke Anuwe, had issued the order on 5 June, two days before the NLC and the TUC planned to embark on a nationwide strike on 7 June in protest against the federal government’s removal of petrol subsidy.
The court at the resumed hearing of the case on Monday, reaffirmed the order, saying it would subsist pending the hearing and determination of an application filed in the case.
In addition, it ordered that parties maintain the status quo and adjourned the matter until 20 July for hearing.

Meantime, the federal government has resumed negotiations with the NLC and the TUC.over impact of Subsidy removal on the workforce.
The unions leaders,Joe Ajaero ( NLC) and Festus Osifo ( TUC)met at the office of the Chief of Staff to the President,Femi Gbajabiamila at the State House, Abuja .
Others who attended the meeting included Dele Alake, the Special Adviser to the president on Special Duties, Communication and Strategy, Mele Kyari,CEO, NNPCL), Zacch Adedeji, Special Adviser on Revenue and Olu Verhejen, Special Adviser on Energy.
The Permanent Secretary of the ministry of Labour and Employment,Kachallom Daju and Gbenga Komolafe , CEO Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission ( NUPRC) and Farouk Ahmed,CEO of Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority were also in the meeting.
