Shortly after the announcement, the price of fuel skyrocketing, selling for N500 and more per litre
About one month later, the Tinubu administration proposed N5BILLIION estimated for 12 million vulnerable households for a paltry N8000 each.
However, the presidency in a statement on Tuesday night, signed by Dele Alake, special adviser on Special Duties , Communications and Strategy, said Tinubu has directed that the palliative package be reviewed and properly made known to Nigerians.
The statement said “That the N8,000 conditional cash transfer programme envisaged to bring succour to most vulnerable households be reviewed immediately. This is in deference to the views expressed by Nigerians against it,”
Palliative Is not the best way government should take into consideration, instead to create job opportunity to Nigerian youth.
