The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) ,on Wednesday confirmed the suspension of the current Commonwealth and African Champion of the 100 metres hurdles , Tobi Amusan.
The AIU in a statement on its official website said that Amusan was provisionally suspended for 3 Whereabouts Failures.
The statement reads.
” The AIU has today charged and provisionally suspended Tobi Amusan ( NGR) for 3 Whereabouts Failures
” The charge will be heard by the Disciplinary Tribunal and determined before the World Athletics
” In this section of the site,we list the Provisional Suspensions currently in force. Some of these cases remain under investigation, while others are the subject of a notice of charge and so will also appear on the list of Pending First Instance cases”
” In doping cases,a Provisional Suspension is mandatory under the World Athletics Anti – Doping Rules following an adverse analytical finding for any non – specified substance “.
However, Amusan reacted to the suspension in a social media post saying she is innocent
