Joy Bishara, one of the schoolgirls whisked away by the Boko Haram terrorists in April 14,2014 invasion of the Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok ,Bormo State has announced her engagement to her best friend,James.
The girl, who turned 27 last month announced her engagement on her Instagram page Today ( Tuesday)
In a short statement she wrote ” I said yes to Love,Laugher, and happily ever after with my best , James exceeds everything I ever prayed for.God’s faithfulness amazes me daily.
Joy and her cousin, Lydia Pogu were among the girls who escaped from the terrorists attack that took 276 girls under age 18 into captivity.
The two girls eventually found refuge in the United States and were offered scholarship by the South Eastern University,a private Christian university,in Florida where they both obtained their Bachelor Degrees in the fall of 2021.
