
Festus Keyamo,a Senior Advocate of Nigeria ( SAN),Ministerial nominee from Delta state and the immediate past Minister of state for Labour and Employment,was finally screened on Monday evening after he tendered an apology to members of the upper chamber of the National Assembly
Keyamo who had appeared before the lawmakers earlier in the day,was asked questions about the 2021 public works program under his ministry.
According to the mover of the motion, Senator Darlington Nwokocha, Keyamo supervised the public works program which aimed to give 20,000 to 1000 persons in each of the local government Areas across the 774 LGAs nationwide
He said,Keyamo denied the lawmakers the privilege to get relevant details of the programme as he shunned invitations sent to him.
On the grounds of such disrespect, the Senator urged that Keyamo’s screening be suspended. This was seconded by Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe and shortly, the house was thrown into commotion and adjourned.
However, after meeting with President Bola Tinubu immediately after Keyamo’s screening was halted,the Senate President, Senator Godswiill Akpabio and his colleagues resumed sitting and screened Keyamo after he apologized.

He was then asked to bow and take his leave.
Keyamo’s screening concludes the screening of the 48 ministerial nominees.
The Senate had announced in the course of the screening that it would further screen the nominess before announcing their confirmation
