19 – year old American Tennis Teenage sensation and World No 6,Coco Gauf has won her first major grand slam title in the Women’s single of the US Open Tournament .
The teenager came from a set behind to defeat her rival,25- year -old Belusian,Aryna Sabalenka 2-66-3,6-2 at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York
Sabalenka is to take over as World No 1 in the new rankings had only won a major title. Gauf’s ranking is also expected to improve with her latest feat amid numerous endorsements.
The winner of the tournament is awarded the sum of $3 million as prize money
