The Joint Task Force (JTF) of Operation Hadarin Daji has rescued another seven female students of the Federal University of Gusau (FUG) in Zamfara.
This brings to 13 the total number of students rescued by the troops so far.
On Friday, bandits attacked the university and abducted 24 students from their off campus residence at Sabon Gida, Bungudu LGA of the state.
The JTF rescued six of the female students after a gun duel with the bandits.
A counter – insurgency publication,Zagazola Makama which focused on the Lake Chad region said the seven students were rescued alongside three male workers of Gupran Engineering services LTD.

In a statement on Sunday, President Bola Tinubu directed security agencies to rescue “the remaining female students abducted by terrorists”.
Bandits abducted five students from the College of Health Science and Technology in Tsafe LGA of Zamfara state in June.
