The Senator representing Rivers West Senatorial District, Sen.Dr.Ipalibo Harry Banigo ,DSSRS has hailed the verdict of the Three-Man Panel led by Justice Cletus Emifonye on it’s unanimous decision that confirmed the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC) declaration of Governor Siminalayi Fubara as the authentic Winner of the March 28th ,2023 Gubernatorial election in Rivers State.
Reacting to the Verdict, in a statement today, Monday October 2, 2023, Sen. Banigo said the verdict of the Tribunal did not come as a surprise because Rivers people voted massively for Governor Fubara, the PDP Candidate in the Gubernatorial election.
She described Governor Fubara as a calm Gentleman with great administrative wealth of experience, as a career Civil Servant, who has demonstrated huge passion for the development of the State so far .
The former Deputy Governor advised Political Opponents in the State to sheath their swords and join hands with the State Governor in the consolidation regime for the overall interest of Rivers people.
The National Law Maker ,while congratulating Sir Fubara on his Victory at the Tribunal ,urged him to remain focused and sustain the development pace for the greater good of the State.
It could be recalled that the Rivers State Election Tribunal on Monday dismissed all the Petitions of LP, APC, ACCORD Party and others as Lacking in Merit.
