A Court sitting in Lagos has sentenced Femi Olaleye, the Managing Director of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation, to life imprisonment for raping his wife’s niece.
Justice Rahman Oshodi delivered the judgement at the special offences and domestic violence court in Lagos on Tuesday.
The judge convicted Olaleye on a two-count charge of defilement of a 15-year minor and sexual assault by penetration.
Justice Oshodi held that evidences showed he raped the victim and forced her to suck his penis.
The judge held that the evidence of the victim and the doctor who examined her was consistent adding that Olaleye’s confessional statement and exchange of WhatsApp and email messages with his wife were enough evidence against him.
According to the judge, the statement and undertaking Olaleye wrote and signed alongside his lawyer, Olalekan Buruji, with his NBA seal at Anthony Police Station, showed that he raped the victim and forced her to. suck his penis.
