..as Fubara Acknowledges predecessor as Boss.
.
Rivers state Governor, Siminalayi Fubara on Thursday met with his predecessor in office and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
The two leaders met at the rededication service of the 2023/2024 Legal Year at the Saint Cyprian’s Anglican Church, Hospital Road in Port Harcourt.
The meeting was the second after the Police Council meeting at the villa where president Bola Tinubu mediated in the political crisis that pitched the two men against each other.
It was the first time the two men would meet in Port Harcourt after the alleged impeachment saga which rendered the state legislature inactive.
Making his remarks at the event ,Gov Fubara said Wike will always be his Oga ( boss ).
While describing the recent political crisis in the state as a thing of the past, Fubara said that he never asked anyone to say unpleasant things to perceived opponents.
“My oga remains my oga. Whatever that has happened is in the past. I have not sent anybody to malign anybody,”
Fubara said though the state is passing through trying times, the phase will pass away and all will be well adding that he will deliver on his promises to the people of the state.
He however referred to the political crisis in the state as the making of the devil which should not be allowed to stand saying in trying to attain development, the devil will always attack, but what is most important is to “identify the devil and push it out”.
