The Nigerian Immigration Service NIS has announced the death of 4 of his personnel in a ghastly motor accident in Kano.
The service in a statement issued by its Spokesman,Adetokun Aridegbe on Monday said eleven officers were returning to Abuja in an eighteen sitter -Bus from an assignment in Kano when the accident happened a few kilometres from Kano.
According to the service,four of the personnel died while seven who received various degrees of injuries are receiving treatment .
It said ” This has been a deeply distressing and sorrowful moment for all of us within the Nigerian Immigration Service”.
IThe NIS said that arrangements for the burials of the departed colleagues are being organised with utmost care and respect adding that the Acting Comptroller General, Caroline Wura – Ola Adepoju saddened by the death “has sent condolences and support” to the families of the deceased.while flags will fly at half mast for the next seven days with a 3- day mourning period for the NIS in respect of the deceased..
