
President Bola Tinubu has confirmed the appointment of Abisoye Coker-Odusote as the substantive Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
According to a statement on Friday by the Presidency, “Coker-Odusote assumed the role of Acting DG/CEO on August 24, 2023, following her initial appointment by President Tinubu. In the brief period since taking on this crucial position, she has exhibited notable leadership acumen, instigating transformative changes within the Commission.
“President Tinubu’s confirmation of Coker-Odusote as the substantive head of NIMC marks a resounding endorsement of her achievements during her acting tenure. “The President expressed confidence in her ability to steer the Commission toward greater accomplishments under her guidance.
“The entire management and staff of NIMC have extended warm congratulations to Coker-Odusote for this well-deserved appointment. Her amiable and visionary leadership style has already left an indelible mark on the Commission, and the collective expectation is that she will continue to elevate NIMC to new heights.
