Following the dearth of Justices in the Supreme Court caused by either retirement or death,the National Judicial Council (NJC) has begun screening the 22 justices nominated by the Federal Judicial Service Commission (FJSC) .
The screening said to be Presided by the Chief Justice of the Federation (CJN), Justice Ollukayode Ariwoola is taking place in the Boardroom of the NJC,
At the end of the screening which is expected to last for about a week, the panel will select only 11 to fill the vacant seats on the bench of the Apex court.
On November 16, the Federal Judicial Service Commission (FJSC) nominated 22 justices of the Court of Appeal to the National Judicial Council (NJC) for elevation to the Supreme Court.
