President Bola Tinubu is meeting with the Governor of Rivers State, Siminialayi Fubara; the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Nyesom Wike, former governor of Rivers state,Dr Peter Odili, and and other Rivers stakeholders at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
It is the second time that the president would wade into the crisis rocking the oil rich state.
Recall that Rivers state has been in a state of political turmoil since late September following a festering face Off between Wike,a former governor of Rivers and Fubara, his successor.
The meeting which also has the Vice President, Kassim Shettima and the Deputy Governor of Rivers state,Prof. Ngozi Odu in attendance was called to resolve the crisis in the state which has resulted in the demolition of the State House of Assembly complex, and engineered gale of impeachments and defection of 26 members of the Assembly to the All Progressives Congress APC.
It has also resulted in vile accusations and a litany of court cases as well as mass resignations of commissioners and Special Assistants loyal to Wike.
