Two South Koreans abducted by gunmen in Rivers state have regained their freedom after being in their kidnappers den for two weeks.
Reuters quoted South Korea’s foreign ministry on Saturday, as saying that the released nationals are in good health after a health check and they have been moved to a safe area .
“On Friday, we secured custody of the two abducted Korean citizens,”
“Both people are currently in good health, and after a hospital checkup, they moved to a safe area and spoke with their families.”
The Korean citizens were kidnapped on Tuesday, December 12, after gunmen attacked a convoy of Daewoo workers along the East-West Road in Rivers State, killing four soldiers and two drivers according to reports.
