The Federal Government has released the sum of N50BN of the Federal Capital Territory FCT Supplementary Budget according to the Minister , Nyesom Wike,.
Speaking during an inspection of projects on Thursday in Abuja, Wike disclosed that the rmoney was for the completion of ongoing projects in the Federal Capital Territory.
The Minister expressed the ministry’s readiness to collaborate with other security agencies to install closed-circuit( CCTV) television cameras in the FCT to bring the security situation in the nation’s capital under control.
The National Assembly towards the end of last year approved N61. 55 billion FCT supplementary budget for the FCT.
A breakdown of the budget indicates that N12.90 billion of the budget is for overhead costs (recurrent expenditure), while N48.65 billion is for capital projects.
