The protest followed the abductiorn of residents by bandits of which the criminals earlier demand for N60milluon ransom suddenly increased to N700 million over delay in payment.
To send a message of seriousness of their mission to kill and destroy ,the criminals killed two more people including a 13- year – old student,Folonrusho Ariyo after previously abductiing 7 family members and killing of their first daughter,Nabeeha Al- Kadriya,a Student at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State.
On Sunday,a former Minister of Communication and Digital Economy,Prof. Ali Pantami announced the mobilization of N50 million for the Al-Kadriyar family for the release of Nabeeha’s sisters but the ex minister’s effort rather than bring succour to the hostages has worsened the situation as the terrorists kill the hostages at will and increased the ransom amount making it difficult for families and sympathisers to grapple with.
