….. As NYSC Member serving in Adamawa Suffers Same Fate.
A former member of the House of Representatives, who represented Ika federal constituency of Delta State, Dr Cairo Ojougboh, is dead.
Ojougboh ,a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) died on Wednesday night while watching the AFCON 2023 semi-final match between Nigeria and South Africa, in Bouake,Cote D’voire on Wednesday,current matters gathered.
The publication learned that he slumped and died in the second half of the match when a penalty kick was awarded against Nigeria during the match.
The deceased also served an Executive Director ( Projects) at the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC during the administration of former President, Muhammadu Buhari.
Meanwhile, report indicates that a serving member of the National Youth Service Corps ( NYSC) in Adamawa state also died while watching the thrilling match between the Super Eagles and Bafana Bafana on Wednesday.
The NYSC member named Samuel slumped before the last penalty that decided the Victory for Nigeria. He was said to hail from Kaduna State and was serving in Numan when the unfortunate incident occurred.
According to the NYSC coordinator in Adamawa state,Jingi Dennis, Samuel was pronounced dead by a doctor at the General Hospital in Numan
