,…Treasurer Accuses National Chairman of Serial Fraud , Bribery..
The National Treasurer of the Labour Party LP, Oluchi Oparah has accused Julius Abure,National Chairman of the party of serial criminal activities bordering on embezzlement of funds belonging to the party and bribery.
Oparah made this known during an Arise TV appearance Tuesday morning.
She disclosed that as Treasurer of the party she is not in charge of the party bank cheque books claiming that they are with Abure who used them to withdraw funds at will.
One of such criminal activities she alleged was the withdrawal of money from the party’s account two months after the death of a former National Chairman of the party.
Oparah further alleged that Mr Abure tried to induce her with cash and car gifts in order to sweep the corrupt practices under the carpet .

She countered the claim by some party officials that she was being sponsored by external forces dismissing it as untrue
When asked by one of anchors of the programme on which faction of the Labour party she belonged, Oparah said ” I’m the National Treasurer.
The Labour Party fielded Mr Peter Obi as Presidential candidate in the February 2023 Presidential election.
He is currently the leader of the party.
