Barring any sudden twist, the much debated State Police might Be in place ,according to a statement by Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation on Thursday
The Minister made this known to State House Correspondents after a meeting between President Bola Tinubu and the 36 State Governors and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory FCT at the Presidential villa.
He said that while the idea of State Police is on the front burner to curb insecurity in the country, a lot of work needed to be done adding that the president and the governors have agreed on working out the modalities .
