Notorious cult leader and Suspect in the Killing of Deputy Superintendent of Police DSP Bako Angbashim is reported dead.
Current Matters gathered that the suspect nicknamed “2 Baba”and Leader of the Icelanders,a dreaded cult group,died in a security raid on Saturday afternoon.
It was further learnt that the raid coordinated on air and land was carried out by the Police and other security agencies at the hideout of the cult leader and some members of his gang in Idu Ekpeye in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The late Divisional Police Officer DPO, was captured by the Icelanders at Odiemudie community, Ahoada East LGA of the State in September 2023 while on routine patrol.
He was taken into the forest where he was killed and his body dismembered and filmed by the cultists who posed a security threat in the Ahoada axis of the state.
Although, the police are yet to issue a Press statement on the raid at the time of filing this report, a source in Ahoada under condition of anonymity confirmed the development.
