Worshippers at St Philips Anglican Church, Gwarimpa in the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Abuja on Tuesday evening caught a middle – aged man who specialises in stealing phones during church services.
The man whose photograph has gone viral with a statement from eyewitnesses ( worshippers)was said to have gone to the church having learnt that there would be a service of songs for a late member and decided to steal a phone belonging to one of the worshippers.
According to the statement, ” He was beaten and he brought out the phone. Upon interrogation we learnt he is from Kubwa and he attended church service last Sunday with us where he learnt there will be service of songs today
” He came purposely to steal phone during church service. Please share his picture for the public and churches to be aware ” the statement added.
