After more than a week of turbulent flight operations to the Gatwick airport in London, Airpeace lands seamlessly with the LG authorities looking forward to enhanced relationships between London and Lagos.
London Gatwick wrote on X on Wednesday,”Exciting news! We recently welcomed Nigerian carrier @flyairpeace to the London Gatwick family, flying daily to Lagos.
Thank you ,we are proud to welcome Airpeace to London Gatwick and we believe the route will contribute positively to business and leisure connections and economic activity between London and Lagos “
Reacting to the development, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development,Festus Keyamo said though Nigeria “expected this on the first day of the arrival of one of our most important local airlines @flyairpeace,but better late than never. We look forward to working with you to ensure seamless operations by @flyairpeace from your airport. The Government of Nigeria fully supports our local operators.
Airpeace commenced flight operations to Gatwick airport daily on 30th March 2024 and reportedly suffered challenging controversies and ill-treatment from the United Kingdom authorities.
