The National Working Committee NWC of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and Governors elected on the platform of the party have resolved to revisit the Rivers State Caretaker Committee List.
The PDP had in March appointed Executives whose tenure had expired as Caretaker Committees at the Ward,Local Government and state levels but a list purported to have emanated from the NWC made appearance in Rivers State which was dismissed as fake by the Rivers Chapter of the party and Governor Siminilayi Fubara.
However, the party at the end of a meeting between the NWC and the PDP Governors Forum on Wednesday in a statement said that the issue of the Caretaker Committee was raised and that the party would apply a political solution to resolve the matter.
The statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary,Debo Ologunagba reads;
The issue of Rivers State Caretaker Committee List was raised at the meeting of PDP Governors and the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) and it was resolved that a political solution should be applied to resolve all the issues related thereto.
Consequently, the PDP Governors’ Forum directed that the National Working Committee of the PDP revisit the issue of the Rivers State Caretaker Committee List.
