The High Court in Kano has affirmed the suspension of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC,Dr Abdullahi Ganduje.
The court also ordered Ganduje to stop parading himself as a member of the party.
Justice Usman Malam Na’abba who gave the order on Tuesday morning following an exparte motion filed by Dr Ibrahim Sa”ad on behalf of two executive members of Ganduje’s ward,Dawakin – Tofa Local Government Area of the state who were part of the nine executives of the ward who suspended the National Chairman on Monday.
The ward Exco had suspended Ganduje after a petition written by one Ja’afaru Adamu,a member of the APC from Ganduje’s ward accusing him of corruption .
The court thereby restrained the APC from recognising Ganduje as a member of the APC and barred him from presiding over the affairs of the National Working Committee NWC pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit on April 30,2024.
On Tuesday, the APC NWC had dismissed the suspension of Ganduje by some members of his ward as fake blaming impostors and mischief makers as responsible.
The party in a statement fingered the New Nigeria Peoples Party NNPP under the watch of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano as the mastermind behind the purported suspension.
