No fewer than 5 Commissioners tendered their resignation on Wednesday.
They are the Commissioners for Transport, Jacobson Mbina,Environment,Ben Chioma and Women Affairs. Dr Roseline Apawari Uranta ,Prof Chinedu Mmom and Dr Gift Worlu.
The commissioners who resigned are said to be the core loyalists of Wike and nominated by Wike to serve in the State Executive Council.
It is the second time that the commissioners would resign. The first being in the wake of the political crisis, before president Tinubu intervened and promoted a peace pact last year.
It would be recalled that four commissioners had earlier resigned from cabinet
They are Alabo George Kelly(Works),Isaac Kamalu ( Finance), Emma Woke (Special Duties) and Zacheaus Adangor., Attorney -General and Commissioner for Justice.
While Alabo Kelly and Woke have been reassigned to federal institutions as heads, the fate of others hangs in the balance.
Meanwhile, the battle line between Wike and Governor Siminilayi Fubara appears to have drawn deeply as Fubara threatened to unearth hidden truths about the Wike administration.
Earlier in the week,Gov. Fubara said he would set up a panel to probe the past government.
Also, the governor said that the past administration left a huge debt burden on projects as contractors were being paid their balance running into billions of naira.
Amid the festering beats of war, the governor appears to be having a swell time executing projects undisturbed and parleying with the new House of Assembly leadership.
