Kalabari Media Forum says it is happy with the milestone achievements of Governor Siminilayi Fubara in Kalabari Land
In a statement titled
BRAVO! TO THE PEOPLE’S GOVERNOR and signed by the Coordinator,Alabo Dagogo Clinton and Harry Awolayeofori Macmorrison ,, General Secretary ,the forum said that the joy the governor has brought to the area within a year is invaluable
The statement reads,
“Further to a unanimous vote by members of the Kalabari Media Forum, we are pleased to extend the warmest felicitations of the Forum to the PEOPLE’S GOVERNOR of Rivers State. Indeed, to say that the people of Rivers State are pleased with you is an understatement, but the joy you have brought to the Kalabari Kingdom is invaluable.
“As elite members of the media from the Kalabari extraction of the State, we wish to put on record the joy of our people with the administration of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, KSC for the milestone achievements within just one year. We congratulate our action Governor and hope that the prayers of the ordinary Rivers peoples would be granted, because all well meaning Rivers peoples are tired with the horrors that the last administration represented.
“We note with joy the successful completion and commissioning of the Emohua/Kalabari Road, and the promise to extend it to the Buguma/ Degema Road. We have also noted with surprise the courageous flag-off of the Trans-Kalabari Road that many administrations avoided because of unacceptable reasons. Coupled with the invaluable intervention in the Civil Service, it is clear that Governor Sim Fubara,GSSRS, KSC is God sent.
“Even more encouraging is the ability of this administration to recognise the development deficit in the Kalabari area over the years because of deep seated hatred for the people and the avoidable infusion of ethnic politics into the governance of Rivers State.
“To persons that may not have seen the socio-economic importance of the policy thrust of the Governor Sim Fubara, GSSRS, KSC administration, we can truly state that Kalabari as a major stakeholder group in the Rivers Project, has never felt more accommodated in the affairs of the State. Clearly, a legendary leader , in the person of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, KSC is emerging in the most unexpected way.
“Indeed your dedication to the well-being and progress of the Rivers people generally, and the Kalabari communities, in particular, cannot be forgotten in a hurry. Like the many groups across the State, the Kalabari Media Forum looks forward to working with your administration in the greater interest of the Rivers people.
“As a group of professionals, moved by the concerns of our people, we have seen in the Governor Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, KSC Administration the light to follow. We feel obligated to point out people to that light and to consciously call them to stand up for truth, peace and democracy in Rivers State.
