Nigeria’s Head Coach, Finidi George has resigned has resigned following the poor performance of the Super Eagles against Benin Republic team in the 2026 World cup qualifiers ( group C)
The march which was decided at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny stadium in Abidjan on June 10, 2024 saw the Benin team coasting home to 2-1 victory ahead of the Super Eagles.
On June 7 ,the Bafana Bafana of South Africa held the Super Eagles to a 1-1 draw at the Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo,Akwa Ibom state.
The former Ajax Amsterdam’s forward was appointed the Head Coach of the Super Eagles on April 29,2024 . He succeeded Jose Pesseiro whose contract was not renewed after the Super Eagles placed second in the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’voire.
