Uborum – Omopi Omerelu in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers on Saturday,June 15,2024 played host to prominent Rivers Sons and daughters who arrived in the community to attend the traditional wedding of their illustrious daughter,Dr Sharon Ozunam Ezems – Amadi.
Sharon, the daughter of Ezemonye Ezekiel – Amadi,a former Commissioner of Lands in Rivers State and educator,Dr Glory Ezems. Amadi is a medical doctor and Pastor in England.
Her husband, Pastor Wilson Grace – Oisahkuemi ,a native of Otuo, in Owan Local Government Area of Edo state is a businessman resident in England.
The event a collection of ambience of core traditional and red carpet reception had a display of colours, music and dance.

There was the bridal first appearance and dance, there was the appearance of the bride’s mother accompanied by her group of Asoebi women. There was also the second outing of the bride accompanied by her husband and there were speeches remarkably laced with prayers for the couple by the fathers of the Bride and groom.

Dignitaries at the event included friends and political associates of the family including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Nyesom Wike and his entourage..
Also in attendance were spouses of former government officials and Mrs Esther Anucha, former Head of Service, and wife of former Deputy Governor of the state.,
Overall,the indigenes and visitors defied the threats of the rains to gather and identify with one of their own.
