As Gen.Asabuja Commander Operations, Mend Storms Ikwerre Local Government Council, forces “Ishi” to Hide
Youths in Eleme have occupied the Local Government Council following the threat of the outgone chairman on Monday to send them to their early graves if they dared to come close to the council.
The youths, obviously excited by the dawn of a new era simplified by Governor Siminilayi Fubara moved in their numbers to the council chanting ” We have taken over the council, other forces have disappeared”
Meanwhile, Samuel Nwanosike,,A K.A Ishi the outgone chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area,who dared the governor saying he would not move an inch from the council after the end of tenure on June 17 is no where around the council premises as the Operations Commander,MEND,Asabuja stormed the council to call his bluff.
He said ” This state is our state we are not running to anywhere.Our duty is to support the governor and nothing else.. We will fight against crime, fight against those bad government, and those bad eggs.
” We have not here to disturb anybody or kill anyone but if you want to kill us, we’ll not keep quiet ‘ Asabuja said.
Meanwhile,youths have occupied councils in the three Kalabari areas of Asari Toru, Degema and Akuku Toru.
Gov. Fubara in line with extant law prescribing the local government administration as related to the end of tenure, directed the Heads of Local Government Adminstrators to immediately take over the affairs of the councils.
