The Diocese of Okrika Anglican Communion as part of activities marking the St Peters Cathedral Centenary Anniversary celebration on Saturday ,June 29, honoured illustrious sons and daughters in recognition of their invaluable contributions to the growth of the church and Christian lifestyle.
Posthumous Community Service Awards were presented by the Saints Day Committee which had Chief Golden B. A Owoi as Chairman and Comrade Newton I. Levi as Secretary under the supervision of the Dean of the Cathedral,Rt Rev. Enoch Atuboyedia .
The awardees included Late ChiefJ. Ikiriko Daka , Late Mr Samuel Longwilliam Owubokir, Late Ven. Harold Oriaku, Pa Obed Tamunoibuomie Akaluogbo and Madam Jemima Ibiamina Lazarus Dikibo.

No fewer than twenty four posthumous awards were presented to families of recognised deceased members of the church.
The cradle of Christianity in Wakirike clans and neighbours,St Peters Cathedral, Okrika is a cynosure of all eyes by its impressive exterior and interior designs. Additionally, It is. centrally located with the monument of Chief Daniel Oju Kalio standing imposingly in the church premises . Late Chief Kalio,who was a paramount ruler in 1923 was the brain behind the mobilization and building of the aesthetic place of evangelism and worship.
