In a deliberate quest to spread the message of hope, unity and progress in Nigeria, a Non Governmental Organisation, Royal Ambassadors Family Enlightenment Foundation, RAFEF, has inaugurated its executive working committee in North Central of the country to achieve the goal.
The Director General of RAFEF, Amb Jonathan David Okwudiri, who performed the inauguration at a colourful ceremony in Abuja on Saturday, charged the Executive Members to work together in harmony to build a safer, more prosperous and corruption free society.
“As you embark on this new chapter, I want to emphasize the importance of integrity, transparency and accountability. Shun anything that resembles bribery and corruption as well as crime and criminality”, Okwudiri warned.
He further advised them to always assist the government and security agents in curbing crime and insecurity as security is a collective responsibility.
“We must all play our path to give useful and confidential information that can help nip insecurity in the bud to relevant authorities”, he counselled.
Amb. Okwudiri opined, “Leadership is not about titles or positions, but about service, sacrifice and selflessness. Let us strive to be change agent and work together to build a brighter future for all”.
According to him, some of the achievements recorded by the Foundation include Welfare Scheme package across the 36 States of Nigeria; Life Insurance policy for active members; Scholarships to Secondary School Female students in Abia State and working to assist the government in ending hunger and poverty in the country.
Earlier in a welcome address, the Zonal Coordinator, North Central region of RAFEF, Amb Agnes Igomu, reaffirmed the commitment to empower members through capacity building and Leadership development, foster collaboration and networking opportunities, promote entrepreneurship and job creation.
Our Correspondent reports that the high point of the event was the Oath of allegiance by the executive working committee members supervised by the Asst Deputy Director General, Legal Matters and Public Prosecution, Amb Barr Precious Chukwu, who accompanied the Director General to the ceremony despite her tight schedule.
In another development, memorandum of partnership agreements were also signed by four Cooperative clusters under the Green Revolution initiative, Nigeria.
