The #EndBadGovernance protest continues across the country despite President Bola Tinubu’s nationwide broadcast on Sunday morning.
The protest which began on Thursday, August 1 is expected to end on August 10 although the organisers have vowed to continue with the protest if the Federal Government failed to address their demands.
On Saturday and Sunday, protesters in Port Harcourt took a violent approach along old Aba road by breaking the windscreen of cars belonging to innocent Nigerians.
The protesters also took to the Eastern bypass housing the NDDC headquarters and tried to force their way into the complex before they were stopped by a team of mobile police operatives.

In his address to the nation,on Sunday, President Tinubu said he ended the fuel subsidy regime as a result of” decades of mismanagement of the economy”.
The president aligned with the citizens on the pains caused by the removal of subsidy and revealed that his government had released” more than N570Billion to the 36 states to expand livelihood support to their citizens ” while also impacting on nano – businesses and others.
His address however, was seen as self gratification in some quarters while it was applauded by others.
Some of the protesters who spoke to the press insisted that the protest would go on. They said the president ‘s address did not give any form of relief to Nigerians on the removal of fuel subsidy which they claim is the cause of hunger, hardship in the country. And unless the president addressed that, We will be on the streets,John,an unemployed graduate said.
Meanwhile, the weekly Federal Executive Council FEC meeting at the Presidential Villa was cancelled without prior notice.
The meeting was scheduled for noon on Monday to address the current protest against bad governance in the country.
It was gathered that some ministers who had arrived at the council chambers for the meeting were made to leave immediately following the cancellation.
