The Nigeria Labour Congress NLC says its President Joseph Ajaero has left the Nigeria Police Force after being interrogated over allegations of financing terrorism and other offences today.
Ajaero proceeded to the Police Station shortly after some leaders of the Union and the legal team of NLC headed by Senior Advocate of Nigeria Femi Falana addressed members of different organs of the Unions that converged on the labour house in solidarity.
The Union had earlier appealed to the Nigeria police force to give it more time to consult with its lawyers before Joseph Ajaero would honour the police invitation.
The Police granted the Union the request fixing 29 of August for the NLC President to honour the invitation.
Ajaaero reportedly kept mum after seeing the police but assured journalists that he would address them soon.
