Two persons have been confirmed dead in a two – storey building collapse at Noman’s Land Quarters in Kano., Officials of the National Emergency Management Agency ,NEMA said on Thursday.
NEMA ‘s Coordinator of the Kano Territorial Office,Dr Nurudeen Abdullahi made this known to newsmen.
According to him, the agency received a distress call from a good Samaritan in the early hours of Thursday about 2 am that a building had collapsed at Noman’s Land Quarters ,Kano
He said” On receiving the information,we quickly sent our rescue team to the scene. Four persons rescued by our team were husband, wife and two children.Out of the victims, the two children were confirmed dead., while the couple were rushed to Armed Forces Specialist Hospital ,Kano for treatment
He said search and rescue operations are ongoing to save more persons trapped in the rubble
