The Executive Director of the Rivers International Film Festival, RIFF 2024, Kate Chidinma Ezeigbo has been speaking about the goal and objectives which informed the founding of RIFF
Speaking at RIFF ‘s Press Conference which held at the Hotel Presidential on Thursday, Ezeigbo said the organisation was founded in October 2023 with the vision to educate and empower the best generation of filmmakers in the state.
According to her, apart from the organisation’s desire to make Rivers state a movie hub, and promote the culture of the state,there is also the social responsibility aspect that the initiative has undertaken such as offering free medical services and empowerment to the people of the state.
In the event attended by the cream of traditional and social media organisations, Ezeigbo disclosed that the event will hold annually to achieve its targets.
In his vote of thanks,a member of the board of directors,Hon. Cromwell Chukwu thanked the Rivers State Government for partnering with RIFF.
Chukwu, who also thanked the media organisations for their courage,commended the organisers for putting up a successful event.
