The Defence Headquarters said troops have arrested a notorious and wanted terrorists leader in the North West,Abubakar Bawa Ibrahim also known as “Dogo”
Dogo is reportedly responsible for kidnapping and Killings in Sokoto state.
The Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba, said Dogo was captured in Rumji village,illela Local Government Area of the state.
Illela it’s a border town between Sokoto and Niger Republic
According to Buba ” Dogo is ia wanted terrorist on the watchlist of security agencies both in Nigeria and in the Niger Republic because of the cross – border nature of his activities.
The military spokesman added that troops in the South East arrested seven IPOB/ ESN commanders and operatives during the week.
Those arrested are Dr Nnamdi Chukwu Dozie and Chigozie Ezetoha( aka chapel). They were arrested in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra state .
Also arrested were Mrs Ngozi Chukwuka and Mr Onyekachi Ohia in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State.
Others arrested are Mr Ifeanyi Eze, Augustine Udemba Mr Onyekachi Udemba and Elijah Mmaduipenya Obumneke .
The Defence Spokesman revealed that during the operations across the country,187 terrorists were neutralised,31 other criminal elements arrested including oil thieves while 147 kidnapped victims regained their freedom..
